Passover is the most stringent Jewish holiday and yet, the theme of the holiday is “freedom”. How do we make sense of this?
Freedom is NOT “doing whatever I want”. If you do whatever you want you are a slave to your wants, desires, and addictions. Freedom is rising about doing what you want. To be free we must be able to harness and control our will.
